WOMEN'S MINISTRY
In first-century Palestine, the way Jesus viewed and treated women was revolutionary. Unlike most men of his generation and culture, Jesus treated all women with honor and respect and taught that women and men were equal in God’s eyes. Whether serving on the governing board, serving a meal, preparing communion, singing, teaching, or praying, women are special here at North Park Community Church. Here are some of our women’s activities:
MISSIONS ALIVE
Primarily a women’s group regrouped from the Women’s Home and Foreign Missions Society. They meet for lunch on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:45 a.m. for fellowship and to learn about, support, and do the work of telling others about Jesus here in our community and around the world. The women in this group also work together to plan and organize opportunities to fund projects for missions. These times are also opportunities for women to find support and encouragement.
WOMEN'S RETREAT
This is a major way for women to develop closer relationships with the Lord and with one another. The retreat is held in the fall each year at Camp Maranatha in Idyllwild California.
